In Vietnam, over 1,300 people are currently infected with COVID-19 (as of 09.12.2020). Vietnam is generally considered the model country during the corona crisis, as there were no new infections in the country for 99 days from May to July. This is partly due to the information and awareness campaign organized and implemented by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training in cooperation with Unilever Vietnam. mc Vietnam (VietGate Communications) supports the PR and marketing work.

The campaign “Stay Strong Vietnam” has the goal to inform the population about the virus.  It has already supplied 1.6 million people in 3,000 hospitals, schools and quarantine zones with disinfectants, soap, and surface cleaning products. This has been supported by more than VND 50 billion (EUR 1,818,330.00).

The donations were accompanied by an information campaign throughout the country to inform the population about the national hygiene concept and to strengthen the hygiene habits of the Vietnamese. “We are proud that VietGate Communications has been taking parts in the cooperative communication campaign on hygiene measures and rules for protection against COVID-19 in Vietnam. The campaign has already reached millions of Vietnamese and hope that all of them are sufficiently informed about the virus and comply with the rules and measures”, says Nguyen Duc Hung, Managing Director of VietGate Communications.

In just six months, the programme has reached 25 million Vietnamese and provided them with useful information.
