Amid bombardments, restrictions, and continuous displacement, UNICEF continues to deliver learning opportunities for children in Gaza

Description
With the generous support of European Union Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), UNICEF distributed over 635 stationary kits to children in Central and South Gaza on 10 June 2025, to facilitate their participation in informal learning activities. The same day, UNICEF also installed 26 high performance tents in Al Mawasi and Nuseirat, opening additional spaces where children can enjoy a quality, accelerated learning experience.

More than 20 months into the war, children’s sense of security has been shattered. Children are demonstrating high levels of distress due to cumulative exposure to traumatic experiences, death, and violence.  Loss of education is among the greatest stressors for children and their families. Despite the extremely difficult conditions, UNICEF continues to support children returning to learning through various modalities, including the establishment of learning centres.
