mc supports EuropeAid in Georgia and Belarus

Promoting sustainable development, strengthening democracy worldwide and reducing global poverty - these are the objectives of EuropeAid, the Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development. This ranges from the fight against Ebola in Liberia and Sierra Leone to support for refugees in Somalia and the anti-corruption campaign in Ukraine. The European Union is the world's largest financial backer of aid and development programmes. With communication campaigns, the mc agency network ensures that people are made aware of EU programmes and projects.

The mc Belarus campaign includes a series of measures such as organising media trips and events, providing information material and stakeholder management. Natalia Zhukova, Deputy Health Minister of Belarus and Andrea Wiktorin, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus, participated in the opening ceremony of the Youth Friendly Health Centre for child-friendly medical support.

One of the campaign's milestones is the photo exhibition and roadshow "Faces of EU project". Here, EU-funded projects in Belarus are showing their face in the truest sense of the word: local project participants are answering visitors' questions at booths. The exhibition contributes to significantly raising awareness of the EU infrastructure projects in Belarus, which are financed with an annual funding of 20 million Euros. The successful photo exhibition "Faces of EU project" stays part of future communication projects that mc Belarus will carry out in the years 2018 and 2019.

Helping people to find a decent job - that is the aim of the EU's EVET employment and vocational training programme in Georgia. mc Georgia promotes the programme among the Georgian population to raise their awareness regarding the introduction of labour market or vocational training reforms and of employment opportunities that have a direct impact on their daily lives.

The communication mix designed by mc Georgia includes the production of video formats, visits to schools, EU days in Georgia and cooperation with important local stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs.
