Information tour to the European election 2009 is launched
On behalf of the Federal Government of Germany, the nation-wide information tour for the European election has been launched in Potsdam and Kempten. MC organises the tour, which stops 40 times throughout Germany.
In the run-up to the European election on 7 June, the tour is supposed to transport the European idea to the people. Employees of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government of Germany explain the advantages of the European Union for every citizen on site; and therefore how important the participation at the election is. The tour has prominent support; Amongst others, the German journalists Günther Jauch and Sandra Maischberger as well as the entertainer Harald Schmidt will explain why they themselves will take part at the election. During their attendance at the information tour the visitors can test their knowledge about Europe. First prize of a European quiz will be a journey for two people to one European capital. Overall 375 million EU citizens are called to elect the representatives of the European Parliament.
